Time For 39ers To Get The Giggles! 

Happy UN-Birthday MAY 39ers! ♪ And many more… ♪ While I’d love to post this article sooner, rather than later, you know that doesn’t happen often. And sadly, no, it isn’t happening today. Generally between the 5^th and 10^th of the month. However, never fear, I’m workin’ here!

May is in progress and I will be back with 39er wit and wisdom asap. For now, a few serious words for thoughtful contemplation on life …

By this age, we’ve had at least a few experiences that stop us in our tracks. Some are good, some not so much, but whatever emotion they evoke makes you rethink your path, or at least consider a detour.

I experienced one of those lately. It was an unexpected death of a very longtime friend. We hadn’t lived in the same state for more nearly thirty years, but kept in touch as much as our busy lives would allow. The difference in my connection to Marilyn, as opposed to other friends, is she and I shared not only mutual admiration, but it included a spiritual level.

If you have a friend or loved one you think of in those terms, you may understand the next paragraph’s content. If spiritualism is not part of your life, that’s OK too! Life is what you make of it—enjoying it is the key.

Marilyn: There are some people in our lives to whom we don’t need to speak every day, or every month. She was a spiritual woman, as am I, which is one of the aspects we shared that defined our friendship, as well as Rock & Roll music and nature. Our bond was just always there. In truth, it is still not “gone.” Our friendship bond is on every spiritual level. Marilyn, the woman, is no longer here for marathon phone calls about the other world, or spirited political debates. But it’s a comfort to know, Marilyn, the Spirit, will always be with me. And she loved a good giggle. Food for thought, as she ended her emails: Peace, Love & Happiness … 

As you likely know, May 1^st was “May Day,” which held the first of TWO Full Moons this month. I’ll have more on our Blue Moon month in a few days. We'll celebrate Taurus and Gemini in mini-horoscopes and Dandelion Day! In the meantime, remember, no matter how much you plan for tomorrow, it’s only today that truly counts.
